The History Of The Hamdeli Organization

Hamdeli ( Empathy ) is a cultural and social non profit organization for Afghan diaspora registered in the United State. This organization works for fostering a sense of belonging, support, and identity among individual Afghans living away from their home land Afghanistan. The movement of Hamdeli took root in Afghanistan in 2008 and since 2023 is a registered non profit organization in the United State of America. This movement is an invaluable cultural, artistic and volunteer based resource for the Afghan diaspora in the U.S., which has been in search of meaningful and quality initiatives. The big picture of Hamdeli is to build a new cultural-technological movement for Afghanistan among the Afghan diaspora in all over the world.

Abdul Basir Hamidy

CEO I Founder

Abdul Basir Hamidy is a media, communication and culture management expert with more than 20 years of experience, organizing large cultural festivals, art exhibitions and youth social movements in Europe and Afghanistan. He is the
founder of Orange Media forum, a company for strategic communications, founder of Hamdeli, a network for empathy and mutual acceptance of Afghan citizens and, co-founder of a network for visual changes.

Maryam Azizi

Legal & Marketing Expert

Maryam Azizi has a master’s degree in law. She has been working in a large company in the fields of business, law and marketing in America for seven years. Maryam Azizi is a woman and human rights activist. She has been actively cooperating with us in the field of integration of Afghan immigrants in the American society for three years.

Dr. Kefa Hamidi

Strategic Communicating Adviser

Dr. Kefa Hamidi has Ph.D. in media and communication studies. He is an expert in his field. The theme of his doctorate was about the history and development of media in Afghanistan. He is the head of strategic and academic studies at the university of Leipzig in Germany. He is the author of several valuable scientific works in his field. He has been working with the Orange media forum as an adviser since 2012.

Roshan Ghaznawi

Expert in government administration

Roshan Ghaznawi is a dedicated expert in government administration with a focus on advancing women’s civil rights and children’s rights. With a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science, Roshan combines legal knowledge with a strategic understanding of public policy. Roshan has a proven track record in public administration and is committed to working and supporting society. Roshan excels in developing and implementing policies that promote equitable governance and is a passionate advocate for women’s and children’s rights.

Henna Shaiq

Media & Communication Assistant

Henna shaiq who is multilingual has bachelor’s of Political Science and Public Administration from the American University of Afghanistan and minor in law. She has more than five years of experience in journalism, leadership, media and communications and Marketing. She worked for human rights and women equality through journalism, Collaborated with government officials as Vice President, Served as Afghan Youth Representative at the South Asian Youth Conference, Led
conversation and published paper on transitional justice in collaboration with Leipzig University.

Sohaila Sama

social & civic experienced activist

Suhaila Sama is a social, civic experienced activist with skills. She graduated from Kabul University, where earned the Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. She continued academic journey at Punjab University, where completed her Master’s degree in Defense and National Security studies. Currently, she is perusing her Ph.D. course at Punjabi University at the department of Defense and Strategic Studies, with the topic on thesis – Durand Line. Suhaila established and Possess experience in the NGO sector, focusing on cultural and social activities and initiatives. Active member of several civil societies organizations.

Tareq Eqtedary

Distinguished civil society activist and communication specialist

Tareq Eqtedary is a distinguished civil society activist and communication specialist. He has dedicated over a decade to advocating for human rights and democratic values, as well as youth empowerment in Afghanistan.
Tareq has held advisory and managerial positions in communication and outreach with international organizations. Additionally, he is a One Young World Ambassador and the Founder and Executive Director of the G+ Generation Positive Organization. He holds a Master’s degree in political science/IR from the University of Afghanistan.

Tadrak kargar is a creative director and graphic design specialist and he has worked with media and reputable institutions in Afghanistan for more than 13 years in the fields of motion graphic, print design, product of documentary, Advertising videos, 3D motion and element design, products photography and broadcast branding of TV
channels.
